The room was large. It was beautifully decorated, and all amenities worked well. The bed had a comfortable mattress and fresh sheets. Breakfast offered a variety of choices, fresh produce, and local ingredients (especially the homemade items). The staff was very cute, smiling, and friendly. The hotel location is great for visiting the beach and other areas of interest.

The heating schedule was limited. It was only on for a few hours in the morning and evening. I felt awkward because of the rule about bringing my own alcohol. I could not find a control to alter the radiator (which would have been helpful).

a heartfelt getaway

thoughtful touch spacious room

sarah and jim greeted us so warmly upon arrival! a hot drink was such a kind welcome, and it felt personal. our room was spacious, with a walk-in wardrobe and a cozy area for quiet moments. the complimentary spa-quality toiletries were a real treat. the hospitality tray had specialty teas, coffees, and biscuits, a sweet touch.

the rule regarding outside food and alcohol created some unease, as i had brought some. i felt awkward, unaware of this policy until i saw it in the hotel book. it would be good to have it displayed on the websites!

the hotel is a short stroll from the beach! north beach is very close, perfect for a peaceful walk anytime. it is also perfect for access to local attractions, providing both convenience and beauty.

unclear rule hotel book

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It had everything I wanted

The hotel book stated that guests are not allowed to bring their own food or alcohol into the rooms. I did not see this rule on the website before my visit. I felt uneasy as I had already brought some alcohol with me. I think this rule should be clearly stated online

excellent stay with really good hosts

fluffy towels comfortable beds excellent hosts homemade bread

i found sarah and jim to be excellent hosts. upon arrival, i was greeted with cake. the hotel appears immaculate throughout. the bedrooms are a good size with comfortable beds. the large white fluffy towels were a nice touch and there were also dressing gowns in the wardrobe if needed (a thoughtful addition, in my opinion). the food was wonderful, and breakfast included homemade banana bread.

i noticed the heating schedule with set times in the morning and evening. adjusting the radiator in my room didn't seem to affect the temperature.
